Alloy 926 stainless steel is the common industry name, it is the AISI standard grade. UNS N08926 stainless steel strip has very high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in media and acidic environments containing sulfur and hydrogen, can effectively resist chloride ion stress corrosion, and also has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing media, good stability, mechanical properties slightly better than 904L stainless steel strip. It can be used in such temperature from -196 degree to 400 degree. The chromium content in Alloy 926 (1.4529, N08926) super austenitic stainless steel strip is usually from 19.0 to 21.0%, and the nickel content is from 24.0 to 26.0%.

UNS N08926 is a super-austenitic molybdenum stainless steel that exhibits excellent resistance to a variety of highly corrosive environments. The combination of molybdenum and nitrogen in its composition resists pitting and crevice corrosion, while copper improves sulfuric acid resistance, and nitrogen improves yield and tensile strengths. The Cr content in Alloy 926 (1.4529, N08926) super austenitic stainless steel is usually 14.0-18.0%, and the nickel content is 24.0-26.0%. Alloy926 (1.4529, N08926) alloy is a nickel based alloy containing titanium and aluminum, containing sufficient chromium to form and maintain a sufficient scale of chromium oxide, which provides protection under high temperature conditions and is more heat-resistant than traditional chromium nickel stainless steels such as 304; The higher nickel content gives it better oxidation resistance compared to standard 18-8 stainless steel, and its oxidation resistance is not inferior to higher grade alloys used at temperatures up to 1900 degrees Fahrenheit (1038 ℃).
